Overview
Building 12 is a single story classroom building, originally built in the 1950’s. The building was completely renovated by adding new finishes, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, a new roof and a new building exterior. Additions included classrooms, offices, and 2 lecture rooms with stadium seating.
To connect Building 12 to the campus below, a LED illuminated bridge was constructed to take students and faculty to a new elevator and stair tower that was constructed between Buildings 12 and 13.
Also unique to this building is that the new HVAC equipment is located in the basement mechanical equipment room. All HVAC equipment was brought down in pieces and then assembled in place.
Extensive site work site work included seatwalls installed with electrical outlets that students would typically use for charging laptops and cell phones.
