RUSD Celebrates the Grand Opening of the New Casa Blanca Elementary School

Excitement filled the air on Tuesday morning as local
officials, educators, students, and families gathered for the grand opening of
the brand-new Casa Blanca Elementary School, a state-of-the-art educational
facility that promises to be a cornerstone for learning and growth in the
Riverside community.
The opening marks a significant milestone for the historically underserved Casa Blanca neighborhood. The new elementary school, constructed with modern learning in mind, features advanced classroom technology, flexible learning spaces, energy-efficient architecture, and expansive recreational facilities.
The Riverside Board of Education, Principal Bernie Torres,
and Assistant Principal James McCann proudly welcomed guests, joined by Mayor
Patricia Lock Dawson, the Casa Blanca Community Action Group, Board of
Education members, and other city and state officials. Together, they marked
the occasion as a defining moment for the neighborhood.
As the doors to Casa Blanca Elementary open for the first time, a new chapter begins for generations of students who will walk its halls. Thank you to our partners GO Architects for their collaboration in shaping a future built on hope, opportunity, and community pride.
