Riverside County Celebrates Completion of Two New Design-Build Libraries

Riverside County has officially opened two new community libraries in Calimesa and Lakeland Village, marking the completion of a dual design-build effort led by Tilden-Coil Constructors with Holt Architecture. Both projects replace outdated modular facilities with modern, purpose-built spaces designed to expand services for residents.

The Calimesa Branch Library, now open at 974 Calimesa Blvd., provides approximately 5,500 square feet of new space, more than doubling the size of the former facility. The single-story ranch-style library includes two study rooms, a flexible “Opportunity Room” for classes and community events, expanded book and technology areas, updated furnishings, and enhanced computer access. The project also delivered full site upgrades including new parking, landscaping, and accessibility improvements.

Located on Grand Avenue near Lake Elsinore, the Lakeland Village Library also recently welcomed the public into its new 8,000 square foot building. This project features dedicated children’s, teens, and adult zones, study rooms, maker-space functions, public computers, and technology stations. The site underwent significant improvements as well, replacing modular classrooms with a fully developed library campus including new hardscape, parking, walkways, and landscaping.

Together, these two design-build libraries represent a major investment in Riverside County’s educational and community infrastructure, delivering modern, flexible, and technology-forward environments that support lifelong learning for residents of all ages.
