Overview
The project consisted of a new 64,969 sf elementary school located in North Hollywood. The structure is a two-story, 32 classroom building, with a one-story building featuring a multi-purpose room and a warming kitchen. The school houses 800 students and relieves congestion to 4 other elementary schools in the district. Under the 2-story classroom building is a below grade parking structure. Julie Korenstein Elementary School has received a Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS) score of 35 for sustainability.
