Four Dedications in Five Weeks for Santa Ana USD

In partnership with Santa Ana Unified School District, Tilden-Coil recently celebrated the dedications of four schools. With one dedication a week, faculty, staff, students, and community members were able to tour the schools and see all the new improvements to their campuses. Jerry Almendarez, Superintendent of Schools, said, “These state of the art facilities are prepared for and allow our kids to be competitive in the 22nd century… we are looking that far ahead. We are so proud of everyone that was involved.” Santa Ana Unified School District is the #1 school district in Orange County. Dr. Rigo Rodriguez, Board of Education President, stated,  “The work that you all do… is all visible in these facilities…We are #1 because of our investment in the facilities so thank you for all the care that you give and the attention to details.” 



Sierra Preparatory Academy Pre-K - 8 Optimization Modernization Project – Dedicated on August 4th

Sierra Preparatory Academy Modernization Project included new playgrounds, and a new building to house pre-k and kindergarten classrooms. 

  

Garfield Elementary School Modernization Project – Dedicated on August 18th

The modernization at Garfield Elementary School includes interior modifications of the library for a new STEAM lab, plus improvement to HVAC, plumbing systems, new lunch shelter, lighting, electrical systems, and doors and finishes. In addition, there were multiple classroom improvements, a kindergarten addition, furniture upgrades, and an office reconfiguration with a single point of entry to bring a new level of safety to the campus.

    

McFadden Institute of Technology Conversion Project – Dedicated on August 25th 

McFadden Institute of Technology, previously names McFadden Intermediate School, was converted into a pre-k through eighth grade campus. This project included new pre-k and kindergarten buildings, playgrounds, restrooms, and tennis courts. 

  

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School Modernization Project – Dedicated on September 1st

The modernization project at King Elementary School included upgrades to classrooms, a new lunch shelter, renovated library, a new media room, and a renovation to the main office to create a single point of entry for safety purposes.
