Overview

The new 700 seat Center for the Arts consists of fine arts facilities and a new black box theatre. These facilities add new studio spaces, teaching spaces, and new rehearsal and costume areas. The Center for the Arts was designed and constructed to obtain LEED Gold Certification. Site and offsite utility upgrades were installed throughout an active campus without any disruption or downtime to instruction. New high voltage electrical was also required to bring new buildings online. New offsite water lines were installed down a busy street with bore and jack requirements under railway. City streets were upgraded for fire access and roads were extended through the project 300 feet, including utility and sidewalk upgrades. Significant coordination was required with all municipalities for offsite approval.
