Overview
Completed as part of the Centennial Plaza block, the Culinary Arts Academy and District Office is a new 60,000 sf three-story structure that houses culinary classrooms, broadcasting room, ice carving room, a full teaching kitchen and restaurant open to the public. The 10,000 sf roof deck offers an open-air dining experience complete with edible garden and scenic views of Downtown Riverside.
The two-facades that face the street use a variety of louvers, solar canopy, spandrel glass and fritted glass to protect the building’s openings that maximize the harvesting of natural light. The project received a LEED NC Silver Rating.
