San Dimas High School New Track & Stadium

Details

Architect Adolph Ziemba, AIA and Associates, Inc.
Completion Date August, 2012
Client Bonita Unified School District
Location San Dimas, CA

Overview

The project consisted of the demolition of the existing high school football stadium and installation of a new synthetic football/soccer field and all-weather track. The unique track surface is the same type used in the 2012 Summer Olympics and at its completion was one of only two installed at public high schools in Southern California. Extensive quality control measures were used on the asphalt subsurface in order to meet the extremely tight tolerances required for this type of track surface. The project also included a new site storm drain system, all new electrical systems, upgrade of the existing stadium lighting, new bleachers on one side of the stadium, two ticket booth buildings, and ADA upgrades to an existing restroom.
