Tilden-Coil has been built on a philosophy of giving back and a mindset of philanthropy.
In 2009 one of our own team members was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer. Our Tilden-Coil family immediately kicked into support mode and one of the ways we did that was to form a walk team for The Leukemia & Lymphoma's Society's Light the Night Walk.
That first year, we set a fundraising goal of $10,000.Because we joined the walk in August, we had just three months to raise our funds. We knew this was a lofty goal, but we felt we could acheive it. Well, acheive it we did...and then some. In 2009, Tilden-Coil Constructors Team KSmo raised over $36,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Our efforts didn't stop there, in fact, they were just beginning. We followed up our flagship year with an even stronger effort and $60,500 raised in the fight against blood cancer! And so our story continues.
To date, Tilden-Coil Constructors has raised $250,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are currently on track this year to hit (or surpass) our goal of $50,000.
There's More To Be done
In 2011, our fundraising team realized there is even more we can be doing. We all have charities and ways we like to give back and we felt that as a company fundraising team we should support these various causes. This is how our G3 committee was formed.
G3 stands for Global Greater Good. The mindset that this form of our committee is based on. And so, Tilden-Coil Cares was born.
In 2013, Tilden-Coil Cares has provided backpacks full of school supplies, raised funds for World Vision, supported a rider in the YSC Tour de Pink in the fight against Breast Cancer and will provide Christmas to several families.
